MSEZL has Zone level Environment Clearance from Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), New Delhi. Manufacturing units planning to put up in MSEZL need to just take state level Environment approvals. The units may substantially reduce the lead time in starting up when compared to other locations.MSEZL also maintains 33 % of the project area as Green Area on behalf of Clients. MSEZL has planted rare and endangered species from Western Ghats to reduce the air & noise pollution and at the same time improve the ambience.

MSEZL also has MoA with Mangalore City Corporation to maintain Mangalore City’s sewerage by operating Tertiary Treatment Plant and reusing the secondary treated water for industrial purpose.
